Who we are

Hydrofoils.ch is formed by four engineers with the aim to gain experience in the design, construction and operation of experimental hydrofoil boats. The team's members are Riccardo Pigazzini, Marco Mani, Sandro Mani and Mario Danzi.

Careful planning and reduction of every part to the minimal complexity whilst still guaranteeing its functionality, make it possible to realize projects in very short periods of time with limited resources.

Although the first project was only completed in 2009, research started in 2005 when l’Hydroptère and the Supramar hydrofoils circulating on Lake Maggiore sparked the interest of the team. Over the years the calculations evolved as access was being gained to specialized software and tools.
